An Angers plaintiff doesn't piss in his pants laughing

The Angers Justice Hall saw today the opening of a case comparable to the fight between Goliath and David. Goliath is nothing less than... Google, an American multinational Internet and software corporation specialized in Internet search, could computing and advertising technologies whose revenues amount to 38 billion dollars in 2011 and which employs 32 500 persons.

And David is an inhabitant of Maine et Loire who decided to sue Google because of a violation of his intimacy : Google Street View, a technology featured in Google Maps and Google Earth that provides panoramic views from various positions along many streets in the world, took a picture of him while he was...pissing in his garden.

The man would have discovered the picture after he realized that he was the laughing stock of all the inhabitants of his village. He demanded to the court the immediate withdrawal of the picture and a deposit, by Google, of 10 000 €. The picture had been shot by a camera set-up at the top of a pole fixed on a car.

If Google considers the complaint as ridiculous, the American company could be in the wrong. It was already sentenced to a fine of 100 000 € for the misuse of Street View. If Google losts, it will not piss its pants laughing.
